Die Originalhandschrift von Fantasie und Sonate c-Moll KV 475 & 457, die fast 100 Jahre als verschollen galt, gehört seit 1990 zu den größten Schätzen der Internationalen Stiftung Mozarteum in Salzburg. Ein Faksimile des Originals wird hier mit neuartigen Funktionen zugänglich gemacht. Das Autograph enthält Korrekturen und Auszierungen und gewährt damit faszinierende Einblicke in Mozarts Schaffensweise und in die Aufführungspraxis seiner Werke. Besonderheiten des Autographs wie eigenhändige Korrekturen sowie Eintragungen von fremder Hand werden erläutert und Eigenheiten von Mozarts Notationsweise erklärt. Fantasie und Sonate sind hier erstmals vollständig auf dem Mozartflügel, an dem sie entstanden sind und der sich seit 150 Jahren im Besitz der Internationalen Stiftung Mozarteum befindet, eingespielt.
Der Benutzer kann die Originalhandschrift beim Anhören mitlesen und dabei eine Auswahl aus unterschiedlichen authentischen Varianten treffen.

Interactive Recording from the Autograph on Mozart's own Fortepiano
For more than a century the original manuscripts of Mozart's Fantasy and Sonata in C Minor K. 475 & 457 were believed to have been lost. Since 1990 they have been housed at the Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum in Salzburg and are counted among the most precious items of our collection. Facsimiles of both manuscripts are available on this CD-ROM, which includes various innovative features. The autographs are rich in corrections and embellishments and thus yield fascinating insights into Mozart's compositional process and the performance practice of his works. Particular aspects of the original manuscripts, including autograph corrections and additions in other hands, are annotated and aspects of Mozart's notation are explained. The Fantasy and Sonata are presented here for the first time in a complete recording on Mozart's own Viennese fortepiano, the instrument for which they were originally conceived. This instrument has been in the collection oft he Mozarteum for 150 years.
The user can read along the original manuscript while listening to the recording, and is free to choose among the authentic textual variants.
